To date, I haven't written a poem about Spring or Daffodils, so in lieu of my own work I am pleased to present to you a brief poem from When We Were Young, by A. A. Milne, author of Winnie the Pooh.
Daffodowndilly
She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
She wore her greenest gown;
She turned to the south wind
And curtsied up and down.
She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor:
“Winter is dead.”
So, enjoy this beautiful season, and the Daffodils, while they last.
