Breaking new ground ...

I once read that Ludwig Van Beethoven, as a adult, moved to new apartments every six months.  Sometimes he was asked to leave, (for various reasons), and occasionally he simply wanted a different view.

During our early years together, my husband and I packed up and moved so often that I began to wonder whether we had broken Beethoven's record!  Each time we moved we made, and lost, friends.

Breaking new ground is both exciting and daunting, but for a poet, it can be frustrating.  In our previous home, I knew where the poetry readings were, and I fearlessly sought out new local opportunities.

Here, two states away from all of that, I am starting over.  The local events calendars and newspapers have been a huge help in sorting out the artistic community here, along with some, "word of mouth."

I recently discovered a community college magazine was accepting submissions on the theme of "Preservation."  I am very happy to announce Rain Magazine has accepted my poem titled, Elm Street.

It's a good first step!

As a rule, I would now be announcing my attendance at my seller's table at the Clockwork Alchemy Convention in San Jose, California, as well as introducing my next book, Echoes lll ... However ...

This year, I will be briefly visiting the convention. where I and the other authors of Clockwork Alchemy will be signing copies of the anthology, 30 Days Later: Steaming Forward 30 Adventures In Time!  Two of my poems, Airship and Dragon, appear in this book.

I hope to see you at the Clockwork Alchemy Convention 2016!
